Julie Dykstra
President & Chief Executive Officer
I became addicted to drugs and alcohol at a very young age and the misery of that addiction continued on for many years. When I was twenty-eight years old I had reached my bottom and on February 07, 2009 I made the decision to change my life. I had no idea that this decision to go into treatment would catapult me into a life full of meaning and purpose. My purpose became helping other people that struggle with alcohol and drug related issues. I knew experience alone was not enough so I went back to school to get my Master’s Degree in Addictions Studies and from there I completed the necessary requirements to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I am DUI certified and have advanced training in Secretary of State Denial Letters. I also have my Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) certification. I have found my niche within the addiction field and thoroughly enjoy helping individuals that have received a DUI or that have other substance related issues get their life back on track. I have been working in the field for the past 10 years and have decided that it is time for me to open up my own agency to hopefully change some of the negative things happening in the addictions field.
